Isabel Pardo is a Colombian-American artist from Houston, Texas. Inspired by her experiences as a child immigrant, her work investigates processes of human transformation, both physical and emotional. Concepts of containment, change, release, and rebirth are emphasized through a mixture of photorealism, prismatic fantasy, and nature elements. She works through painting, drawing, light, installation, and video projection mapping.
